Nearly a thousand middle-school girls from throughout Southern
California attended the Sally Ride Science Festival at Caltech last
Saturday. Here, girls construct models of molecules using beads
and rods at one of the many exhibits sponsored by Caltech, JPL,
and aerospace companies.
